Whenever the world feels too loud or busy, I try to find time to enjoy a walk in nature. Somewhat paradoxically, I'm often prepared with my phone because I never know what might unfold around me. 

On Blue draws from elements of one of these nature walks, where I took photographs of various scenes that caught my eye. The face, the fruit, and the branch were all adapted from these images. It is an attempted return to surrealism, my first since Remember, You Will Die, blending natural forms with something more otherworldly.
