The City of Belmont Art Awards have returned, and it’s such an amazing opportunity for local artists, myself included, to share our work with the community. Featured this year are over 300 local artists across a range of mediums - paintings, sculpture, digital, photography, and textiles. It's a vibrant and diverse celebration of local creativity.
I’m thrilled to have my piece, Spectrum, included in the exhibition. It’s a digital print that reflects different aspects of personality and how we present ourselves to the world. For me, it’s been a personal journey to create, and having it displayed in such a public space is incredibly validating. When I submitted my work, I was at peace with not knowing if it would be accepted. But being able to stand alongside so many other talented artists in this exhibition is something of a milestone for me.

If you're in the area, I definitely recommend checking it out! Most of the artworks are for sale, and it’s a great way to support local talent while enjoying a wide variety of creative expression. Whether you’re an art lover or just enjoy seeing what local artists are up to, this exhibition is well worth a visit.
The City of Belmont Art Awards is being held at The Glasshouse, 215 Wright Street, Cloverdale, and runs from August 31 to September 14.
